As of September 2024 the family department at Pardoes Solicitors have had the benefit of a Legal Aid Contract. That means that, subject to eligibility, your legal costs could be covered by the Legal Aid Agency. We are able to offer legal aid to those that are eligible in cases that concern:

• Public family law regarding the protection of children. This includes cases where social services re involved with families, care proceedings, and cases where families are involved in the Public Law Outline (PLO) process.

• Private family law where there is evidence of domestic violence or child abuse, child abduction cases, forced marriage protection cases and cases where a child is a party to the proceedings. That includes cases involving applications for Child Arrangements Orders, Special Guardianship Orders, leave to remove children from the jurisdiction and some divorce and financial proceedings.

• Domestic Abuse and applications for Non Molestation Orders, Occupation Orders, and Protection from Harassment Act injunctions.

If your case falls into one of these areas, you may be eligible for legal aid. If your case does not fall into one of these areas, you may still be eligible for Exceptional Case Funding. We will be able to advise you.
