Family Law Fee Earner

Family Fee Earner – Bridgwater Office

We are currently seeking a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our growing Family Law Department on a permanent basis.

THE ROLE:

Based in our Bridgwater office you will be required to deal with all aspects of privately funded family work under the supervision of a partner including divorce, financial settlement, TOLATA (not litigation), cohabitation agreements, pre and post nuptials and children-related matters, You will also be required to attend and represent clients at court and attend clients at our other offices when necessary.

Criminal Defence Fee Earner

Taunton / Bridgwater / Yeovil – Permanent – Full Time

We are currently seeking a Solicitor or Legal Executive to work within our Criminal Department on a permanent full time basis including some out of hours work  

THE ROLE:

Our criminal defence team is one of the largest in the local area representing and defending clients in a broad range of criminal matters. 

You will be required to manage a busy and existing caseload of private client and legal aid files and also attend clients at magistrate courts and police stations in the Yeovil, Taunton and Bridgwater area.  Therefore it is essential that you are eligible to join the Court and Police Station Duty Rota Scheme.  The role can be based out of either our Taunton / Bridgwater / Yeovil offices.

Experienced Fee Earner - Residential Conveyancing Department    (Yeovil Office)

We are seeking an experienced fully qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our Residential Conveyancing department at our Yeovil Office.

You should have excellent communication, networking and client facing skills alongside a track-record of dealing with both day to day and complex cases.

The Role:

On occasion, the role may require travel to provide cover to our other offices in Taunton and Bridgwater.  Hours of work are between Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm.

Fee Earner 5 yrs+ PQE, Commercial Property Department – Partner/Partner Designate role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fee Earner with a solid grounding in Commercial Property to progress their career in a Somerset law firm with a regional presence and an excellent reputation for Commercial Property work. 

We are seeking an experienced qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive to fulfil a full-time role in our Commercial Property department at our Somerset Legal Firm with offices in Taunton, Bridgwater and Yeovil. 

In turn we will provide you with high quality individual support and an advanced case management system which allows remote working as well as a positive and supportive working environment and an opportunity to work in a beautiful area with very good access to amenities to enable you to make the most of your work-life balance. 

THE ROLE:

The increasing workload in the established Commercial Property department of our Legal 500 firm is growing, bringing exciting opportunities. We are looking for a switched-on Commercial Property professional to come in and play a key part in the expansion and development of the team and the continued growth of the Firm. We would like to hear from Candidates with a minimum of 5 years PQE in a good range of Commercial Property work. The firm covers a spectrum of legal services and you will have the opportunity to work alongside some highly professional colleagues from other areas of law, including Legal 500 recommended Property Litigation and Employment teams. 

Based in one of our three Somerset offices - Taunton, Bridgwater and Yeovil - the ideal candidate will have 5 years plus post qualification experience in a busy fee earning role and be looking to move to the next stage of their legal career and play a key part in both the development of the department and the Firm.

Client care and communication is key to the role as well as delivering a high-quality service to further develop our already excellent reputation for the Commercial Property work. The role may require attendance and travel between our offices at Taunton, Bridgwater and Yeovil. At the same time, we are open to and can accommodate a split between office based and remote working. Hours of work are between Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm.

THE CANDIDATE:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years PQE. Applicants will have experience of all aspects of commercial property including acquisitions and disposals, real estate finance and property development. This well established practice is looking for a bright and ambitious individual who has an impressive network of contacts who will continue to provide new instructions. Your reputation will speak for itself as will your client recommendations in the local market.

You will help the firm to achieve profit objectives, market the firm and add to its professional network. Key to this role is to provide a proactive and constructive input into the firm's strategy. You will optimise the performance of the team to achieve profitability. You will manage key clients and maintain the high level of service expected, as well as meeting financial targets. This will include personal and team development. You will have the ability to bring clients and fees of at least your own costs and have a track record in building turnover as well as relationships with clients. You must also be able to prove you can be an ambassador for the firm and be able to win/retain clients. An ability to develop a team as well as moving the department forward with innovative ideas would be a distinct advantage.

Legal Assistant, Residential Conveyancing Department

The opportunity to join us as an experienced Administrator/Legal Assistant to fulfil a full time role in the Residential Conveyancing department in our Yeovil Office has arisen.

Experience of working in a busy residential conveyancing department is preferred but not essential to meet this challenging role with the real prospect to establish an excellent future career in a growing Somerset law firm with a regional presence and the reputation of being a great place to work.

You should have excellent communication, administration and client facing skills alongside enviable experience of dealing with conveyancing matters. Experience of residential conveyancing or property generally within a legal setting would be especially helpful to your prospects.

The Role:

You would be working in our Yeovil office in our Residential Conveyancing team. You will be a self starter and support the team with all administrative duties required.

It goes without saying client awareness is essential whilst consistently delivering a first class service.

The role may require travel to provide cover to our other offices in Bridgwater and Taunton. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have experience in a busy administrative / conveyancing role with an ability to work alone as required to get the job done. Applicants should preferably have experience of working in legal or Residential Conveyancing department.
