Yeovil Office

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Executive or Solicitor (0-3 year qualified) with demonstrable and enviable experience, to establish an excellent future career in a growing Somerset law firm with a regional presence and the reputation of being a great place to work. An excellent opportunity for an experienced Solicitor / Legal Executive or Paralegal (with 2-4 years experience) to join an established, busy and expanding team has arisen in the Yeovil Office of our Legal 500 Firm. The successful applicant will have experience in a busy civil litigation/dispute resolution environment and a day to day understanding and practice in:

Property Litigation (boundary disputes, adverse possession, nuisance etc.)

Residential & Commercial Landlord & Tenant

Contentious probate

General Civil Litigation (contracts, partnerships, commercial disputes etc.)

You will also have a proven ability to work under your own initiative and continue to develop the business through wider networking and relationship building with new and existing clients. 

You will need to demonstrate excellent communication, networking and client facing skills alongside an enviable experience of dealing with both day to day and complex cases. You should also exhibit your involvement and drive in marketing and promotional events, seminars and contribution to newsletters and social media activity.

In addition you will be self-supportive, undertaking the majority of your own administration with some support provided locally or remotely as appropriate. Target driven with a desire to succeed, it goes without saying client and commercial awareness is essential whilst consistently delivering a first class service.

We are seeking an experienced fully qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive for our Residential Conveyancing department at both our Bridgwater and Yeovil Offices.

Bridgwater Office

We are currently seeking a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our growing Family Law Department on a permanent basis.

 

The Role

Based in our Bridgwater office you will be required to deal with all aspects of privately funded family work under the supervision of a partner including divorce, financial settlement, TOLATA (not litigation), cohabitation agreements, pre and post nuptials and children-related matters, You will also be required to attend and represent clients at court and attend clients at our other offices when necessary.

Criminal Defence Fee Earner

Taunton / Bridgwater / Yeovil – Permanent – Full Time

We are currently seeking a Solicitor or Legal Executive to work within our Criminal Department on a permanent full time basis including some out of hours work  

THE ROLE:

Our criminal defence team is one of the largest in the local area representing and defending clients in a broad range of criminal matters. 

You will be required to manage a busy and existing caseload of private client and legal aid files and also attend clients at magistrate courts and police stations in the Yeovil, Taunton and Bridgwater area.  Therefore it is essential that you are eligible to join the Court and Police Station Duty Rota Scheme.  The role can be based out of either our Taunton / Bridgwater / Yeovil offices.

Legal Cashier

LEGAL CASHIER

We are currently seeking a Legal Cashier to join our busy team on a permanent basis.  Experience in a legal environment is preferred but not essential.

THE ROLE:

This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm) based in our Bridgwater office.  You will work with an experienced and supportive team.  Your role will involve checking client account bank statements throughout the day for new funds and alert relevant fee earners/teams with client reconciliation issues.  You will also be required to assist with the day’s completions to process funds for client and office account daily, generate office account cheques for disbursements and process CHAPS, BACS & faster payments including processing card receipts.  Other duties include the management of the petty cash float for each office, assisting with the daily reconciliation of client and office accounts, daily processing and posting of Firm’s own invoices, administration of client interest calculations as required and actioning WIP and Disbursement write offs.
