Dispute Resolution/Civil Litigation fee earner - Yeovil Office

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Solicitor / Legal Executive or Paralegal (with 2-4 years experience) to join an established, busy and expanding team has arisen in the Yeovil Office of our Legal 500 Firm. The successful applicant will have experience in a busy civil litigation/dispute resolution environment and a day to day understanding and practice in:

Property Litigation (boundary disputes, adverse possession, nuisance etc.)

Residential & Commercial Landlord & Tenant

Contentious probate

General Civil Litigation (contracts, partnerships, commercial disputes etc.)

You will also have a proven ability to work under your own initiative and continue to develop the business through wider networking and relationship building with new and existing clients. 

You will need to demonstrate excellent communication, networking and client facing skills alongside an enviable experience of dealing with both day to day and complex cases. You should also exhibit your involvement and drive in marketing and promotional events, seminars and contribution to newsletters and social media activity.

In addition you will be self-supportive, undertaking the majority of your own administration with some support provided locally or remotely as appropriate. Target driven with a desire to succeed, it goes without saying client and commercial awareness is essential whilst consistently delivering a first class service.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work alone as required to get the job done but most of the time will be working closely with the 2 senior solicitors in the team and who are recommended by the Legal 500.

Family Law Fee Earner

Family Fee Earner – Bridgwater Office

We are currently seeking a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our growing Family Law Department on a permanent basis.

THE ROLE:

Based in our Bridgwater office you will be required to deal with all aspects of privately funded family work under the supervision of a partner including divorce, financial settlement, TOLATA (not litigation), cohabitation agreements, pre and post nuptials and children-related matters, You will also be required to attend and represent clients at court and attend clients at our other offices when necessary.

Taunton / Bridgwater / Yeovil – Permanent – Full Time

We are currently seeking a Solicitor or Legal Executive to work within our Criminal Department on a permanent full time basis including some out of hours work  

THE ROLE:

Our criminal defence team is one of the largest in the local area representing and defending clients in a broad range of criminal matters. 

You will be required to manage a busy and existing caseload of private client and legal aid files and also attend clients at magistrate courts and police stations in the Yeovil, Taunton and Bridgwater area.  Therefore it is essential that you are eligible to join the Court and Police Station Duty Rota Scheme.  The role can be based out of either our Taunton / Bridgwater / Yeovil offices.

Marketing Assistant

Marketing Assistant – Yeovil Office

The role of Marketing Assistant:

The marketing role at Pardoes is evolving. We are exploring new ways to promote the specialist knowledge, community focus, creative and empathetic approach that differentiates Pardoes from local competitors. You will provide ideas, input and support for the marketing strategy moving forwards with specific responsibilities as follows:

• Event management, organisation and hosting during the event

• Co-ordinating The Pardoes Free Legal Helpline

• Overseeing promotion of Legal Helpline – using social, marketing collateral and radio 

• Running all social media platforms

• Updating and managing website on an ongoing basis through the back office

• Monitoring of website, social media & Google analytics

• Handling all enquiries and maintaining a database

• General graphic design such as ads, flyers, posters etc

• Running employee of the month scheme 

• Booking networking events for team members and overseeing follow up procedures

• Deal with the marketing budget

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm with additional hours for evening/early morning and some weekend networking events.

What you need:

The role will suit a self-motivated individual with drive, ambition and a creative bent with an interest in the legal sector. You should have excellent communication and people skills and be confident to be the first point of contact for the firm’s marketing matters. 

You will be predominantly based in our Yeovil Office but will often need to travel to other offices in Bridgwater and Taunton. Ideally you will hold a valid driving licence and be a vehicle owner..
