Private Client Fee Earner

Yeovil Office

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Executive or Solicitor (0-3 year qualified) with demonstrable and enviable experience, to establish an excellent future career in a growing Somerset law firm with a regional presence and the reputation of being a great place to work. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to work under their own initiative and develop the business through wider networking and relationship building with new and existing clients.

You will also demonstrate excellent communication, networking and client facing skills alongside an enviable experience of dealing with both day to day and complex cases including wills and power of attorney.

You will be self supportive, undertaking the majority of your own administration with some support provided locally or remotely as appropriate. It goes without saying client awareness is essential whilst consistently delivering a first class service.

Property Litigation Solicitor/Legal Executive or Paralegal (2 – 4 years PQE)

Yeovil Office

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Solicitor / Legal Executive or Paralegal to join an established, busy and expanding team has arisen in the Yeovil Office of our Legal 500 Firm with 3 offices based across rural Somerset. The successful applicant will have experience in a busy property litigation/dispute resolution environment and a day to day understanding and practice in:

  • Residential Landlord & Tenant
  • Commercial Landlord & Tenant
  • General Property Litigation eg. boundary disputes, issues with restrictive covenants, adverse possession and nuisance claims. 

You will also have a proven ability to work under your own initiative and continue to develop the business through wider networking and relationship building with new and existing clients. 

You will need to demonstrate excellent communication, networking and client facing skills alongside an enviable experience of dealing with both day to day and complex cases. You will also exhibit how your involvement and drive in marketing and promotional events, seminars and contributed to newsletters and social media activity.

In addition you will be self-supportive, undertaking the majority of your own administration with some support provided locally or remotely as appropriate. Target driven with a desire to succeed, it goes without saying client and commercial awareness is essential whilst consistently delivering a first class service.

Residential Conveyancing – Experienced Fee Earner

Bridgwater Office

We are seeking an experienced fully qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive for our Residential Conveyancing department at our Bridgwater Office.

The Residential Conveyancing department of this modern thinking Legal 500 firm has seen unprecedented growth recently and is growing rapidly. We have a regional presence and the reputation of being a great place to work.

The Roles

You will be self supportive, undertaking some of your own administration with support provided locally or remotely as appropriate. It goes without saying client awareness is essential whilst consistently delivering a first class service. 

On occasion, the role may require travel to provide cover to our other offices in Taunton and Yeovil. Hours of work are between Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm.

Bridgwater Office

We are currently seeking a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our growing Family Law Department on a permanent basis.

 

The Role

Based in our Bridgwater office you will be required to deal with all aspects of privately funded family work under the supervision of a partner including divorce, financial settlement, TOLATA (not litigation), cohabitation agreements, pre and post nuptials and children-related matters, You will also be required to attend and represent clients at court and attend clients at our other offices when necessary.

Head of Family Law

Head of Family Law – Somerset – Salary Negotiable

We are recruiting for an ambitious and dynamic Head of Family to develop and grow our highly regarded Family Law Department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to establish themselves as an expert in the field and take the Department on to the next level.

The Role

This is a busy role and in addition to managing an existing caseload of private matrimonial, children and finance work you will be responsible for the business development of the Department as well as leading a team of fee earning and support staff who carry our both publicly funded and private work.

 

About You

As Head of Family you will play a key role in growing the business by marketing yourself and the Department to the full potential. Resourceful, dynamic and highly motivated, you will be proactive and driven to take advantage of new business opportunities.

Leading by example you will be an ambassador for the Firm and a champion of our promise. Results-orientated you will encourage high performance and the development of your team and will be an exceptional communicator at all levels.

You will demonstrate enviable experience within Family law with experience of dealing with private matrimonial, children and finance work but also experience or knowledge of Legal Aid work would be advantageous too. 

 

Essential Requirements

  • Senior Solicitor or Partner with at least 5 years PQE Experience
  • Experience of managing and developing a team
  • Possess first-class communication skills
  • Proven business development skills
  • Membership of Resolution and the Law Society Family Law Panel.
  • A transferable client base is not essential but advantageous

Criminal Defence Fee Earner

Taunton / Bridgwater / Yeovil – Permanent – Full Time

We are currently seeking a Solicitor or Legal Executive to work within our Criminal Department on a permanent full time basis including some out of hours work  

THE ROLE:

Our criminal defence team is one of the largest in the local area representing and defending clients in a broad range of criminal matters. 

You will be required to manage a busy and existing caseload of private client and legal aid files and also attend clients at magistrate courts and police stations in the Yeovil, Taunton and Bridgwater area.  Therefore it is essential that you are eligible to join the Court and Police Station Duty Rota Scheme.  The role can be based out of either our Taunton / Bridgwater / Yeovil offices.
