Tenancy Deposit Rules

Have you paid a deposit for your tenancy?

Have you received documentation to confirm that your deposit has been protected?

Given that the tenancy deposit rules have now been in force for over 5 years, we are surprised to see that many private landlords still have not protected their deposits correctly. If you have paid a deposit, you would have received a certificate of protection together with a document known as ‘Prescribed Information’. If you have not received such paperwork it may be that your landlord has not protected your deposit and we can offer you advice on how to go about reclaiming that deposit. We can also offer advice on the implications of the landlord not having protected the deposit or whether you have the right to seek the return of the same immediately.

Contact our landlord and tenant/housing specialists today for an initial cost free telephone overview of your circumstances. Please telephone Bhavani Hogarty on 01935 385987, Chris Palucsis on 01935 382687 or Ella Carroll on 01935 385984. Alternatively, complete our online enquiry form and a member of the team will contact you as soon as possible.
