I joined Pardoes in May 2025 as a Legal Assistant within the Dispute Resolution team.
My legal career began in the 1980s when I left school and started work as a legal secretary. I later progressed into a Legal Assistant role before taking a career turn into the medical field. There, I supported consultants in neurology, a role that gave me a unique insight into patient care and communication. Despite the shift, I’ve always enjoyed the legal environment for its constant learning opportunities and fast-paced nature.
Originally from London, I relocated to Somerset in March 2020, just 10 days before the first Covid-19 lockdown. The timing proved unexpectedly useful, giving me the chance to settle in and refurbish my cottage.
Outside of work, I’m kept busy by my two rescue dogs, Tuppence and Basil. They’ve become loyal travel companions as we explore Somerset and Dorset together, particularly the beaches, where ice-cream is a well-established tradition. Tuppence is also a registered Pet Therapy Dog, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see the joy she brings to children in hospitals and residents in care homes.
In my spare time, I’m a dedicated bookworm with a passion for British crime fiction, especially forgotten classics reprinted by The British Library. I also enjoy cross stitching pet portraits, and it’s a real joy to see the reactions when I present my finished work.
