Dispute Resoluton Fee Earner - Yeovil Office

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Solicitor/Legal Executive or Paralegal to join an established, busy and expanding team has arisen in the Yeovil Office of our Legal 500 Firm with 3 offices based across Somerset.

The successful applicant will ideally have experience in property litigation and contentious probate disputes. Alternatively, in one or the other.

You will also have a proven ability to work under your own initiative and continue to develop the business through wider networking and relationship building with new and existing clients. 

You will need to demonstrate excellent communication, networking and client facing skills alongside an enviable experience of dealing with both day to day and complex cases. 

Client and commercial awareness is essential whilst consistently delivering a first class service.

Family Team Fee Earner – Bridgwater/Taunton/Yeovil/Hybrid

Family Team Fee Earner – Bridgwater/Taunton/Yeovil/Hybrid

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Solicitor or Legal Executive in Care and Legal Aid matters within our growing Family Department.  Ideally you will hold a panel membership or be Children Law accredited, or willing to apply for the same to which Pardoes (SWA Ltd) will fully support.  You will be able to supervise more junior members of the team and willing to become a Legal Aid Supervisor within your role.  

This role will see the successful applicant join an expanding team and deal with all types of family related, including legal aid, taking on an existing caseload whilst looking for opportunities to grow the caseload and for personal development, within the company.

You should have excellent communication, networking, and client-facing skills alongside enviable experience of dealing with childcare and legal aid related matters. We are seeking an experienced fully qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our Residential Conveyancing department in either our Yeovil, Bridgwater or Taunton office.

The Residential Conveyancing department of this modern thinking Legal 500 firm has seen unprecedented growth. We have a regional presence and the reputation of being a great place to work.

You should have excellent communication, networking and client facing skills alongside a track-record of dealing with both day to day and complex cases.

THE ROLE:

You should be self supportive, undertaking some of your own administration but support can be provided as appropriate. It goes without saying client awareness is essential whilst consistently delivering a first class service.

On occasion, the role may require travel to provide cover to our other offices. Hours of work are between Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm.

Family Team Fee Earner - Bridgwater - Hybrid working

Family Team Fee Earner - Bridgwater, Hybrid

THE ROLE:

Based in our Bridgwater office, combined with hybrid/home working, you will be required to deal with all aspects of privately funded family work under the supervision of a director including divorce, civil partnerships, cohabitation disputes, financial settlements, TOLATA (advice up to court), cohabitation, pre, post nuptials and separation agreements and child arrangements.  You will also be required to attend and represent clients at court and attend clients at our other offices when necessary.

Working within an experienced and supportive team there are genuine opportunities for career development and progression for the right person.

Legal Compliance Officer – Bridgwater, Yeovil or Taunton Office

(3 days per week – would also consider part-time Litigation Fee Earner to compliment a full-time role of 5 days)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Officer to support our COLP (Compliance Officer for Legal Practice) in either our Bridgwater, Taunton or Yeovil office. You must have prior legal experience and be familiar with regulatory requirements.

This is a critical function and requires someone who is confident working on their own initiative and is comfortable communicating effectively with people at all levels of the firm

THE ROLE:

·         To play a key role in the compliance of the firm.

·         To support/assist the COLP with all aspects of Risk and Compliance.

·         To support/assist the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).

·         To update and monitor the firm’s Office Manual including all compliance policies and procedures.

·         To assist with complaints and claims.

·         To act as first point of call for staff compliance queries.

·         To administer, update and train staff on the firm’s compliance platform (Riliance).

·         Organise Monthly Risk and Compliance meetings and prepare agenda and take, type and circulate minutes.

·       Produce monthly and Annual Compliance reports and collate any other relevant information.

THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will be/have:

·         Legal experience.

·         An excellent understanding of the SRA rules.

·         A self-starter and able to work independently.

·         Able to demonstrate competence and take responsibility.

·         A self-starter with a pro-active attitude towards the responsibilities assigned. 

·         Good problem-solving capabilities.

·         Friendly approachable manner.

·         Must be IT literate.
