Members of Cheddar’s Riverside Business Breakfast club have raised more than £400 in a year of fundraising for children’s charity BIBIC.  Local businesses have supported the Bridgwater-based charity over the past year by donating professional services which have included carpet cleaning, training in public speaking, free advertising, legal advice, business coaching, and even some detective work from a Private Investigator.

Pardoes Solicitors, who as part of the fundraising initiative donated legal advice and corporate support were proud to have assisted this worthwhile Bridgwater-based charity.  Nick Dell, Partner at Head of the Property Teams at Pardoes is a member of the Riverside Breakfast Club comments: "We have been very pleased to work alongside BIBIC in past years helping to support the charity in its work and the difference it makes to the lives of children”.

A donation from the sale of cards and calendars by local photographer Simon Parry added to fortnightly donations of £1 per member to raise a total of £442. BIBIC's Fundraising Manager Jess Winchester comments: “The Riverside Business Club is incredibly supportive of the local community and by working with BIBIC they have been able to have an impact on families living in their area.  Every single pound donated makes an incredible difference to our work, but to be able to access the skills, expertise and advice within the group has just been invaluable”.

A Christmas Quiz at the Riverside Inn which hosts the Breakfast Club also raised £370 for the charity as part of their fundraising activities for the year.

Di Litten, Chair of the Riverside Business Club in Cheddar, said “We are kept well informed of all the wonderful work BIBIC achieves with children and parents and all of our members are delighted to announce they have chosen bibic as their charity for a second year running”.

There are currently vacancies within the Riverside Business Club for individual members representing different areas of business and industry. Contact Di Litten on 01934 744772 or Huw Davies on 07884261503 for details of how to join.
