My Legal Space (MLS) is an online portal that we at Pardoes have developed alongside our case management team. It allows us to upload online documents and provide real time updates on our clients’ matters. This bespoke service allows our clients to be kept informed and updated on their matter at a time that is convenient for them, thus improving our client service and keeping us ahead of the game in this ever demanding legal market place.
Third parties such as agents and brokers can log in to see updates on how the matter is progressing. The portal that clients and third parties see are separate entities which allows personal data and information to remain private to the client while still allowing third parties to receive updates on matters that they are involved in.
MLS allows us to efficiently manage cases where there are multiple parties involved. By providing updates and document review it ensures that all parties are involved continuously and kept up to date. The portal reduces the number of phone calls and emails usually involved in a transaction which in turn reduces the administration that comes with providing updates. This allows the Fee Earners to progress matters quickly. This improved communication increases client satisfaction and improves service levels.
When we upload documents or complete tasks, our client will receive an email notifying them that a task has been completed and a milestone updated. If there is a document to review, they will be advised of this too and are invited to log in to view the document.
The system is fully encrypted and users can securely send documents knowing they cannot be accessed, copied or edited by anyone unless they have the correct permissions assigned by the case handler at Pardoes.
Rather than using a postal service, we can upload documents via MLS which can be received instantly, thereby reducing the turnaround time for clients to receive correspondence and documents.
With a built in chat facility, any questions that clients or third parties have can be sent from the portal and will be received directly to the inbox of the case handler at Pardoes who is looking after the matter, ensuring that these messages are received and picked up. The Chat facility allows our clients to comment on the information and raise questions without having to leave the MLS platform.
MLS is continually reviewed to ensure we are adapting the portal to reflect our client’s needs. We have recently launched an App to accompany the desktop version which is available on Android and Apple devices. As far as we are aware we are the only Law firm in the area to use a system like MLS, meaning we can offer our clients something unique in addition to our usual high level of service.
