Terminating Employment
If you find yourself wanting to dismiss an employee, ensure
it falls within one of the following five fair categories:
- Capability
- Conduct
- Redundancy
- When continuing to work would contravene an enactments
- Some other substantial reason
In order to dismiss fairly you must:
- Have a fair reason for the dismissal; and
- The dismissal must follow proper procedures and be fair
in all the circumstances.
