Live Support
Case study
Miss V's violent ex partner was causing both her and her children to live in fear. After contested court proceedings our solicitor succeeded in obtaining an order to stop all contact for 7 years, until the children were old enough to decide for themselves where they wanted to live. Several months later, Miss V told us that her and her children's lives, "had completely changed... the children are now settled in their new home and schools, and no longer live in fear from their violent father."
Domestic Violence
It can be difficult to leave a relationship, even an abusive one, due to children or financial reasons. If you're in this position (whether you're married or not) you'll be glad to know, legal help is available.
By applying for an injunction on your behalf, we can protect you and your children quickly. It is an order that tells a person what they can or cannot do. The perpetrator can be arrested if he/she breaks the order. The two types of court order injunctions are:
Non-molestation Order
As well as prohibiting harassment and intimidation, this stops violent and threatening behaviour towards you.
Occupation Order
This states who can live in a property and can remove the perpetrator from your home.
